SNOWFALLEN SENTIMENTS: A Holiday Tea in the Carolinas + Bridal Inspiration

All Feature Photos by Casey Hendrickson

Snowfall in the Carolinas is quite hard to come by, but with photographer Casey Hendrickson’s quick, imaginative thinking, the sweetest Christmas inspiration shoot comes together in a flurry!

It’s simply impossible not to be smitten with our bride’s hand-tied bouquet featuring the softest white blooms: hydrangeas, tulips, calla lilies, alstroemeria, and roses. Interspersed are woodsy winter elements of silver brunia, petite pinecones, and even curly willow branches in lieu of traditional greenery. An antique silver caraffe proves itself the only vessel befitting of this charming centerpiece.

A sweetheart table is left unclothed so as to display its intricate Victorian woodworking and rich grain. The petite tablescape sits just adjacent to Churchill Stables, making for the perfect backdrop. China gilded with the laciest floral motif is stacked upon a muted mauve napkin. And to complete the afternoon holiday tea? Dozens of freshly baked cookies and some darling old fashioned jars of milk!

Our winter bride keeps warm in vintage mink stole, meticulously hand-beaded gloves, and a mid-sleeved lace gown featuring cascades of heavy, ivory taffeta. She dons sparking peep-toe slippers in keeping with her modern yet glamorous ensemble. Molly the Westie, arguably Charlotte’s most photographed dog, surely shares the spotlight with her own diamanté bow necklace – its chain featuring station style strung pearls, of course.
